We will meet at the Pine Grove parking lot at 1700. The run starts at 1800. Please make sure you have all the items necessary to work over night, including snacks, etc. Alex will provide PPE (masks, etc) but if you can bring your own.
Mission
Our primary mission is eyes on the course to provide safety and count the runners as they come past each water point. Please make sure to have a pen and paper, or equivilent so you can track them when they come through. We will brief the exact proceedure with the race crew on the night of the event.
Below are several high-level changes you can expect to see race day. These are different from past AEI operations dictated by the circumstances. Final details will be sent in the week leading up to race day:
Total of 50 athletes
Pre-determined athlete check-in times to maintain appropriate physical distancing.
Each athlete will have a pre-determined start time.
Each athlete will be allowed one crew member.
Each athlete will always be required to have a mask or buff with them.
Each athlete will be required to use mask or buff within aid station and water point areas.
Crew member will follow all safety measures identified by AEI and Park management.
Crew member will always be required to have a mask or buff with them.
Crew member will be required to use a mask or buff within aid station and water point areas.
AEI support team members will have on PPE during interactions with athletes within aid station areas.
At a minimum, PPE will include masks, gloves, goggles (or personal eyewear).
There will be no awards ceremony following the event.
We will have a post-race meail available.
There will be no extended (less than 20 minutes) gathering at the start/finish area of athlete and crew after completing loop.
